I had the privilege of teaching and learning from a phenomenal group of women this past Saturday at the Green Project. We had a diverse group of attendees ranging including an esthetician, public relations professional and a mom who wanted to escape from her husband and kids.
During the Eco Beauty class we learned the difference between natural and synthetic scents and sampled essential oils. We also spoke ways to use herbs, grain flours and fruit options for facial and body treatments.
Then it was on to the fun part, making some yummy smelling products for the face and feet.
Here we are making a honey berry face mask… with strawberries and such.
Finally, we made a foot scrub with invigorating peppermint, nourishing oil, etc.
Special thanks to The Green Projects for inviting me to teach and The New Orleans Food Co-op who donated most of the ingredients used in the class.
Well, that’s it for now. If you’d like to host an Eco-Beauty Class with Senica for your organization or private event, drop me a line at senicanaturals (at) gmail.com.
