I hope you had a relaxing Valentine’s Day. We had a great time at the Love Your Skin Class at Whole Foods Market Veterans. We enjoyed the fragrant rose petals and oils while nibbling on scrumptious chocolate. What a way to end a long week and start the Valentine’s weekend.

Here’s the recipe we made, you can try it on your own, featured in the February Whole Body flyer at Whole Foods Market.
“ 2 tablespoons (12 g) almond meal
1 tablespoon (6 g) garbanzo bean flour
1 tablespoon (15 ml) rose water
1 tablespoon (15 ml) rosehip oil
5 drops rose otto or absolute in jojoba oil
1 teaspoon (5 ml) honey (optional)
* We added fresh rose petals
Combine the almond meal and garbanzo bean flour in a small mixing bowl. Add the rose water, rose hip oil, essential oil and honey, if desired. Stir the scrub until the ingredients are well blended.
To use, gently massage the scrub onto moistened skin in a slow, circular motion. Rinse with water, then follow with toner. This scrub can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week. Makes enough for about 2 scrubs.” Here’s what my scrub looked like.

I’ve used my version of the scrub and it is simple divine. My skin is pillow soft darling and I’m loving it!
Have you ever made a face scrub? What are your preferred ingredients.
I’ll be teaching another class in April. Stay tuned for details.
