February is American Heart Month. There are many activities planned across the United States of America to increase awareness about heart diseases and prevention. But, awareness without action still leaves us with a big problem, heart disease, obesity, high cholesterol, and the list goes on.

I may not be a fan of resolutions, because they often fall by the wayside. However, I am a huge fan of intentionality.  I have collapsed arches and unlike many people, am unable to “go for a run” on a regular basis without suffering excruciating knee, leg and foot pain.  That’s where being intentional about physical activity comes in. Today, I did a 30-minute Yoga session during my lunch time. I must admit, I only got through 22-minutes of the session and had to take short breaks in between. But, its a start. I got my hear rate up and I am definitely “feeling the burn.” The next time around, I hope to do as many repetitions as the folks in the video. Over time, I should be able to get through the entire 30-minute workout.

Are you intentional about your health? What is your routine for remaining physically active?

If you’re not intentional about your health, what’s holding you back?

Every day, I try to care excellent care of myself.  If I don’t do it, no one else will.

Stay Well,
