1. For a relaxing sleep. Apply a few drops on your pillow before bed for a restful sleep. Be sure you are using a lavender essential and not a synthetic fragrance which does not have the therapeutic properties.
2. As a hair rinse. Lavender is calming for the skin and serves as a great rinse or spray for troubled scalp conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. Infuse lavender into water and use the cool tea as a hair rinse or hair mist.
3. As a beverage. Spruce up a glass of lemonade by infusing lavender flowers in the water. Another option is lavender tea with a touch of honey. Be sure you’re using food grade lavender, available in the fresh herb section a many grocery stores.
