0 Flares 0 Flares ×I took a much needed break the other day to make a beeswax candle for myself. Beeswax candles are such a treat to make because I get a double dose of the sweet honey aroma- when I am melting the wax to make the candle and then when I burn the candle. I purchase my beeswax from a local bee keeper here in New Orleans for the Sénica Blemish Balm.
Did you know?!
- Beeswax releases negative ions while burning which helps clean the air!
- It has a natural honey scent so there is no need for adding essential oils
- It takes over 15 pounds of honey and a visit to 30 million flowers to create a 1 pound candle
- Beeswax candles are recommended by the American Lung Association
Well, I’m off to burn my candle and enjoy the sweet honey aromas it provides. What’s your favorite type of candle?
